What Were They Thinking?

This horrible skirt was designed by me and made by someone who interpreted it a 'little differently'. It was supposed to be one of those really wide tiered tribal skirts in olive green with a purple trim.


I had even worse ones made but got no pictures of those. They looked like paint brushes had been wiped clean on them. I sold them to a dancer who I warned that they were awful looking but she still wanted them!

This was one of my first creations, the third attempt at a belly dance costume... What happened was that I wanted to create a 60's Egyptian belly dance costume that I had seen in some of the pictures my grandparents took in Egypt. So I bought this horrific tulle, but it was stiff! Halfway through making this I realized it was too hideous to finish:
