Tip to avoid EBay disaster Costumes
Ebay: there's a lot of crap here, but some really good stuff, too. Watch out for the costumes that are made up of coin bras & panties (?!??!?!?!), the ones that are basically halloween costumes, and the ugly pointy-boobed ones. I always read the feedback on the seller and look to see if anyone is bidding on any of their items. You'll find the most stuff by searching under "belly dance" or, if you want to narrow the list, try "belly dance hip scarf" "belly dance costume" "belly dance veil" etc. Sometimes you'll find other things by spelling it all together as one word (bellydance) or a variation (bellydancer, bellydancing, belly dancer, belly dancing)

Costumes for the Bouillabaise Dance Troupe....
Some years ago it became fashion to have starfish, shells and other sea creatures on belly dance costumes. On Bhuz someone came with the idea to use these costumes to create a dance troupe... the Bouillabaise Dance Troupe!

Belly Dancer Collides with Stuffed Toys
A terrible accident happened today: a belly dancer collided with a batch of stuffed toys. See the horrific picture of the accident below.
What is this?
Being sold as belly dance costume, but really I do not see any belly dance costume in this picture. What I see is glob of fabric with sequins and a few strings with beads (and they are falling apart) with a shoulderpad escaping from the right shoulder
Less is not always best
For sale on EBay, I'd rather not buy this.... You do not have to expose half of your bum to get noticed.
Pink nightmare
This manequin looks like she is saying: "oh my God, not again...!" Too many things have gone wrong with this costume, I don't even know where to start to descibe it. I think it speaks for itself.

First costume for this blog
I wish everybody a happy Halloween. I think this costume is totally in theme with this event. You can add a pumpkin if you like ;-)
