I really really don't know if this one can be saved... It's a very 'what were they thinking' moment

Can I turn them into a costume? Yes you can (no this is not an unfortunate student costume, but an item from EBay):
Lotus
This costume is totally not my taste, but I think someone could turn it into something useful by taking off the fringe and that strip of extra fabric under the bra (not sure why the maker placed it there, stuff like that tends to curl up)
Bumble Bee
Not only do the colors hurt my eyes (wrong type of yellow combines with black), but the construction and the waterfall of fringe in the middle of the bra!

Some Tribal Fun
What can I say? Suzy Nipple Tassels is probably happy with this one:

Every now and then, a checkered costume surfaces the belly dance world, but when are costume designers going to understand this is not the greatest look?

More beach wear than belly dance bra, according to me! Without the strange sideways fringe and with a bra incorporated this could maybe be a tribal bra?
UBDC Showdown 26: Lettuce Dance vs. The Midas Mistake
The Lettuce Dance bra is very unfortunate and comes from a seller who mostly sells gorgeous costumes. I don't think the lettuce bra can be altered into something useful, but the so called Midas Mistake isn't too bad, just a bit too much of everything.
